General Rental Conditions

Understanding the Essentials: General Rental Conditions for Nava Rent A Car

  • Mappamondo d.o.o. hereinafter NAVA rent a car rents a car mentioned on the front side of this agreement, within the period of time and under the conditions set on the front side of this document.
  • By signing this agreement, the renter confirms that he had received the vehicle in good condition, with the fuel level mentioned on the front side, if different not specified on the rental agreement.
  • Renter shall pay all fuel consumed during the rental.
  • Renter undertakes to return the vehicle together with all tires, tools, car documents, standard, and additional equipment, as it was rented.
  • Renter will return the vehicle on the date specified herein or at such earlier date as NAVA rent a car may require. For each extension of the rental period, the agreement of NAVA rent a car has to be obtained 24 hours in advance, and an additional sum for the deposit paid simultaneously.
  • The vehicle may be operated only by the renter or by such a person authorized in writing on this rental agreement, provided that such a person meets all necessary qualifications and documents.
  • The vehicle shall not be operated:
    • If the renter is under the influence of alcohol or drugs,
    • to push a tow of another vehicle,
    • while overloaded, i.e. carrying more passengers or freight than permitted by the car registration papers,
    • to transport animals, combustible or explosive freight, freight with a strong, unpleasant smell, or carrying any freight that can damage the vehicle.
  • Renter shall not assign his rights hereunder or sell the vehicle or parts thereof.
  • If the renter prolongs his rental without prior agreement with NAVA rent a car, it is considered that the car was illegally appropriated, and NAVA rent a car will inform the police authorities. In that case, the renter will be considered morally and financially responsible.
  • Renter undertakes to take good care of the car, particularly to check regularly water, oil, and tire pressure and to effect the necessary changes. Receipt shall be presented to NAVA rent a car. Renter is made liable for all damages caused by insufficient maintenance.
  • Renter is liable for all damages caused to the vehicle as a result of the utilization of the road, this also if renter has accepted the CDW. In addition, the renter will be charged for the collection of the damaged vehicle, any reduced value of the vehicle, and the loss of revenue due to immobilization during repairs. For all damages to third parties as a result of utilization of the roads, the renter is liable for any expenses incurred by NAVA rent a car which may result from such damage.
  • Renter is liable for all damages to the vehicle caused until the return of the vehicle by renter or third parties if he had supplied NAVA rent a car with false information as to his identity, his address, or the validity of his driver's license. In the case of third-party damage, the renter shall be liable for any expenses incurred for the replacement of the same.
  • Renter hereby releases NAVA rent a car from liability for loss or damage to any property left, stored, and transported in or upon the vehicle before or during the rental or after the return of the vehicle. Renter agrees to hold NAVA rent a car harmless from all claims and costs based upon such loss or damage.
  • During the rental period, the renter shall pay the costs of parking, traffic, or other legal violations assessed against the vehicle, as well as all other costs that are not regular.
  • Renter, while using his best efforts to prevent such events, shall not be liable for any faults or defects in or from the mechanical failure of the vehicle.
  • Insurance does not cover damages of the tires, wheels, and the lower part of the vehicle. In case of seal damage or car failure, the renter shall stop driving and inform NAVA rent a car, where he will get instructions for further procedure.
  • NAVA rent a car is not liable for any consequences caused by any defect of the vehicle during the rental.
  • Rented vehicle is insured with:
    1. a) comprehensive insurance and
    2. b) collision insurance.
  • If the user has accepted the payment in compliance with the subject Agreement, the user's liability concerning damages on the rented vehicle is completely excluded. Acceptance of CDW does not release the user from the liability for the cases mentioned under item 11 and 12.
  • Renter agrees to protect the interest of NAVA rent a car in case of an accident during the rental period by:
    • obtaining names and addresses involved and the witnesses,
    • not abandoning the vehicle without adequate provisions for safeguarding and securing the same,
    • calling the nearest NAVA rent a car station and giving a detailed report,
    • calling the police in order to obtain the police report. If the renter fails to take the above-stated actions, he will be held responsible for any consequence caused to NAVA rent a car.
  • All disputes arising in connection with the agreement shall be settled by the authorized court in Podgorica.
